NPS: The Isle of Rhodes

 

Take virtual trip with Tom Sampliner, photographer and past president of the Native Plant Society of Northeastern Ohio to the Greek Isle of Rhodes located 70 miles from Turkey in the Mediterranean. Famous for its beach playgrounds and ancient Crusades ruins, it is a hot bed for Mediterranean flora especially orchids along with migratory birds, interesting insects and wildlife.

Location: The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road, Novelty, Ohio 44072

Directions: Take State Rt. 87 East from Rt. 306 in Russell Township approximately 2 miles to the park entrance on south side of the road.
