Geauga Park District Bioblitz at Stapels' Meadow
Paul J. Pira, Biologist, cordially invites natural history experts and enthusiasts to the Geauga Park District's 18th annual Bioblitz.
Registration is required for this program.
The Stapels' Meadow park property is comprised of 197 acres located in Hambden Township. The headwaters of the Cuyahoga River and its associated riparian wetlands flow through Stapels' Meadow along with other habitats such as mature upland forests, seepage wetlands, wet meadows, emergent marshes, ponds, and shrub-lands.
Their popular breakfast & lunch will not be served this year due to COVID-19 concerns. Please plan to bring a bag-lunch, drinks, etc.
A brief introduction and meeting will be held at 8:30 am and the Bioblitz will begin shortly thereafter.
