Slow the Flow with Rain Gardens
Join Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District as we learn about rain gardens and visit a garden growing at the Geauga County Fairgrounds
Registration is required for this program.
As our communities continue to grow, development and changes in land cover affect the volume and quality of storm water runoff. Now more than ever, our yards have become powerful and significant places to create healthy ecosystems through our practices and plantings.
Rain gardens are one way to bring conservation benefits and beauty to your backyard while improving water quality. This fun introductory program will provide:
- an overview of rain gardens,
- things to consider,
- design and installation tips, and
- helpful resources
